 UYAP has won many prizes both in Turkey and in abroad because of making significant breaktrough in Turkish judiciary.

“SMS Information System has been awarded with the public prize of eGovernment Awards 2009 “

This year’s best European eGovernment solutions have been awarded at 20.11.2009 by the European Commission in the framework of the 5th Ministerial eGovernment Conference in Malmö, Sweden. The winning initiatives, selected by a jury formed by independent experts, come from Austria/Germany (cross-border application), Denmark, Italy and Portugal. Also awarded today was the Public Prize: The choice has fallen on to a Turkish case, SMS Information System. These winners have been selected from among a total of 259 submitted cases and 52 finalists.

Based on more than 1500 voters via the epractice.eu portal from 2 October to 11 November, the winner of this year’s Public Prize is the SMS Information System from Turkey. This project was submitted in category 2a for eGovernment services empowering citizens. SMS Information System offers a subscription service for lawyers and citizens to ensure that instant information is provided so all parties can take the necessary steps in time to prevent infringement and privation of their legal rights while reducing costs for all.

Ministry of Justice of Turkey has been selected as one of the 15 winners of Oracle's 'Enable
 the Eco-Enterprise' award.

Ministry of Justice of Turkey has been selected as one of the 15 winners of Oracle's 'Enable the Eco-Enterprise' award. This award will be presented during an Oracle OpenWorld session on Monday October 12 from 2:30-3:30pm. Oracle OpenWorld will be held in San Francisco the week of October 11-15. Oracle’s Chairman of the Board, Jeff Henley, will be presenting these awards during his session that he co-presents with Oracle’s SVP & CIO, Mark Sunday and other Oracle sustainabiltiy experts. This session will be held in Moscone West, Room 2003 during the Oracle OpenWorld conference.

UYAP HAS RECEIVED ITS LAUREATE GOLD MEDAL IN THE COMPUTERWORLD HONORS PROGRAM

UYAP HAS RECEIVED ITS GOLD MEDAL BECAUSE OF BEING SELECTED AS A LAUREATE IN THE COMPUTERWORLD HONORS PROGRAM HELD IN ANDREW W. MELLON AUDİTORİUM IN WASHINGTON DC IN 01.06.2009 AND HONORED AS ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FIVE FINALIST IN THE AREA OF E-GOVERNMENT PROJECTS IN THE WORLD. IN ADDITION IT HAS BECOME THE ONLY E-JUSTICE PROJECT AMONG THE FINALISTS. UYAP HAS BEEN REPRESENTED BY ALI KAYA, THE HEAD OF IT DEPARTMENT OF MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OF TURKEY, AND ALI RIZA CAM RAPPORTEUR JUDGE OF IT DEPARTMENT.

UYAP has received a special mention in ''Crystal Scales of Justice'' awards

In 2008, UYAP has received a special mention in ''Crystal Scales of Justice'' awards which is presented by the European Commission and the Council of Europe in the context of the European Day of Civil Justice. This European prize rewards innovative practices contributing to the quality of civil justice in every two years. The initiatives concerned must have been introduced in order to improve the public system of justice, particularly for the users of justice. They must therefore be innovative practices and their results must be measurable. The Prize "Crystal Scales of Justice" is awarded by a Jury of European legal professionals.

UYAP was awarded for annual e- Government rewards in 2004,2005, 2008 and 2009

In Turkey, UYAP was awarded for annual e- Government rewards in 2004,2005,2008 and 2009 organised by TÜSİAD and Turkey Informatıcs Foundation. In 2009, UYAP distance learning Portal has been selected the best e-learning Portal in Turkey and has been awarded with the winner of Informatics Star competition in Turkey. UYAP Distance Learning webpage also has been selected as the best designed webpage in Turkey in the same competition.

UYAP has been entitled for these awards due to the fact that It has enhanced the quality of services provided to citizens and the effectiveness of justice. As a result public confidence has been achieved in justice services thanks to transparent and rapid justice, aiding stability and peace in society and growth in the economy. These developments mentioned, in terms of their consequences represents progress that augments the confidence of citizens in the judiciary and shows ongoing improvements. UYAP has transformed an old-fashioned, paper based Judiciary into a smooth functioning organization, which is assessed by some the biggest revolution in Turkish Judiciary throughout the history. Last but not least, UYAP is the biggest and most outstanding electronic justice system in Europe in terms of number of users, abilities of software, capacity and magnititude of the system and many of unique features such as lawyer and citizen portal, SMS projects, the scope of using electronic signature, intelligent warning and decision support systems and nationwide statistics skills.
